The Night Auditor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the hotel during overnight hours. This position is responsible for managing front desk duties, performing nightly audits of financial transactions, assisting with light housekeeping, and delivering exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and possesses strong communication and multitasking skills to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Manage front desk operations, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and addressing inquiries or requests.
  • Prepare and submit daily financial reports and summaries for management review.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to resolve guest concerns effectively.
  • Assist with reservations and offer information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Enforce security protocols during overnight hours, including monitoring access to the building.
  • Perform cleaning duties, such as mopping floors, maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby and public spaces, mopping the pool area floor, and restocking towels in the pool area.
  • Handle laundry responsibilities, ensuring linens and guest items are properly cleaned and stocked.
  • Restock housekeeping closets on all floors in preparation for the daytime housekeeping team.
  • Set up and prepare the breakfast area to meet brand and service standards.
  • Demonstrate reliability and punctuality during all scheduled overnight shifts.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and guest relations skills
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk operations
  • Proficient in hospitality management and night audit procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multi-line phone systems
  • or multilingual capabilities are a plus
  • Familiarity with resort environments and guest services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
